Big game fishing doesn't have to come with a big price tag. Our 28 foot sportfisher is the most affordable way for small groups of up to 4 to charter a private boat in Tamarindo and still head offshore for sailfish, marlin, mahi mahi and yellowfin tuna. The boat is reserved for your group only, never sold by the seat.
Our local captain has more than 15 years of experience fishing the reefs, offshore canyons and seasonal patterns of the Guanacaste coast. The boat comes fully rigged with quality rods and reels, modern electronics, a live bait well and shade. Choose our 5 hour half day inshore or offshore trip, a 7 hour three quarter day offshore, or a 9 hour full day of inshore and offshore fishing.
Water, iced tea, soft drinks and beer come on every trip, with snacks on all charters and lunch on full day trips.

Not only was the rental dropped off and picked up, but Sam was a blast! He came out spear fishing, gave us fish, and came out to a house party and was so positive every time he was around.

Cancellation policy
7 days or more before your trip: Full refund, 72 hours to 7 days before your trip: 50% refund, Less than 72 hours before your trip: No refund, No shows: No refund Your safety always comes first. If the captain decides the weather or ocean conditions are unsafe, we'll reschedule your trip for another date. If rescheduling isn't possible for you, you'll receive a full refund. Need to change your date? Contact us as early as possible, and we'll do our best to move your charter, subject to availability. This policy applies to all of our private fishing charters.

5 STARS ALL AROUND. Sam and the crew at OHANA RENTALS are the only people to see for Golf cart or Motorbike rentals in Tamarindo. They were absolutely seamless to work with, willing and eager to help with anything from recommending the best place to get a street pincho to where to booking a fishing charter, surf trip or eco tour Sam is the man. He and his team of caring Ticos will steer you safely in the right direction. I have no reservations about recommending OHANA RENTALS to anyone visiting the Tamarindo area. Samuel made renting a scooter with him extremely easy. He was very responsive and even picked up the scooter near my hotel to make my departure day smoother. Not only that, he recommended a dive shop to me for my first ever scuba dive which was fantastic. Will definitely work with him again when I return to Tamarindo
