La Leona Waterfall Hike & River Tubing
A canyon hike to a waterfall, then tube back down the river.
Discover one of Costa Rica's most breathtaking hidden waterfalls on this private adventure from Tamarindo. After hotel pickup, we drive 1 to 2 hours to Curubandé, on the slopes of the Rincón de la Vieja volcano.
With our local guide, hike 2 hours along the turquoise Río Blanco, deep in the volcano's canyons. The shaded trail winds upriver past five natural pools, through a stone canyon, caves and small waterfalls. Then drop your things in a dry bag and swim through the canyon to reach the stunning La Leona Waterfall, with it's stone beach and natural swimming pool.
Skip the walk back! Hop on a river tube and float down through fun mini rapids with our guide. Finish at base with a traditional Costa Rican lunch, with vegetarian, gluten free and vegan options.

Highly highly recommend!!! This company helped us out so much between arranging our excursions, our pickups/drop offs and even renting a scooter for the week. The scooter was one of our favorite parts of our trip getting to explore the coastline. We did the catamaran sunset tour, la Leona waterfall, and ATV ride all arranged through Ohana. Definitely recommend using them!

10/10 highly recommend. These guys are top notch. Everything was extremely smooth from bike rental , drop off/pick up, communication and so much more. If you want the full Costa Rican experience, use this company to rent a scooter/motorcycle to roll around the coastline. We rented the bike for a total of 7 days and had zero issues the entire trip. On top of that, they can arrange excursions for you. We chose the sunset catamaran, waterfall hike & ATV tour. If/when we return to Costa Rica, they will be the first company I will reach out to. Pura Vida!

Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 7 days before. Cancel between 7 days and 48 hours before and you get half back. Inside 48 hours the operator has already committed the day, so there's no refund. If we cancel for weather or a boat problem, you choose another day or a full refund.

5 STARS ALL AROUND. Sam and the crew at OHANA RENTALS are the only people to see for Golf cart or Motorbike rentals in Tamarindo. They were absolutely seamless to work with, willing and eager to help with anything from recommending the best place to get a street pincho to where to booking a fishing charter, surf trip or eco tour Sam is the man. Samuel made renting a scooter with him extremely easy. He was very responsive and even picked up the scooter near my hotel to make my departure day smoother. Not only that, he recommended a dive shop to me for my first ever scuba dive which was fantastic. Will definitely work with him again when I return to Tamarindo
